Interview at Amara Lebel's Blog
Hi everyone! This is just a quick note to let you know I'm over at Amara Lebel's blog doing a little interview.
She asked some interesting questions, and I'd love to see some familiar faces over there!
Oh and before I forget, The Broken Highlander is still doing great in the kindle store, so THANK YOU all! I appreciate it! It's still free, so tell your friends! ;)

The Broken Highlander is #Free and holding strong
So I wanted to write this post last week, but for some reason I can't see my own website! Yet you guys can...I found a back way in to my dashboard, but still can't see the actual website. Weird. And I'm working on it :)
But moving on...
Wow! The Broken Highlander is #2 in the kindle store! I can't thank you all enough! Someone told me that it was at #1, but when I looked, it must've dropped to #2, so here's the screenshot of #2 and it's so super exciting for me! Thank you, all! I'd love it if you'd leave reviews, those really help out.
It's free, it's up everywhere! (with the exception of the Google Bookstore, because for some reason I just can't get it up and free at the same time. I really don't want to charge for it).
And thank you, once again. I am just thrilled to see all the positive feedback!

Drum Roll Please...
And, the moment we've all been waiting for....
The cover for The Broken Highlander! Woohoo! Coming out March 10, 2015!
The cover was designed by Dara at LFD Designs, and this bad boy will be formatted and put up for free! And I love free, who doesn't? So mark your calendars for March 10, and grab your copy!
blurb:
Previously published in the charity anthology Shades of Pink Volume 2, The Broken Highlander is the prequel to Highlander Reborn.
In the darkest hours after waking from death to his life as a vampire, blacksmith Nevin MacLachlan must learn to adjust to his new existence. While he adapts quickly to his enhanced senses, he hates the vampires that took everything from him. Forsaking the Nightkind, he plans to survive on his own.
No one said it would be easy.
For centuries he tries to blend in with humans, but what kind of blacksmith only works at night? After being chased from his home time and time again, Nevin no longer has compassion for the humans he once knew.
The only things keeping him from becoming completely feral are his sense of honor, and the teasing memory of the woman who changed him. With no clan to belong to, human or Nightkind, Nevin finds out survival isn’t the only thing to live for, and that eternity is a long time to hate what you’ve become.

Look What's Coming...
Someone (it's me!) has a shiny new cover!
Now that I have the rights back to The Broken Highlander from the charity anthology Shades of Pink Volume 2, I'm going to release it back into the wild. BUT, and here's the cool thing, I'm going to expand it a bit, and make it free! Yay!
Stay tuned for the reveal, with additional postings on Under the Covers Book Blog, Got Fiction? Book Blog, and Book Soulmates Book Blog. I'll add more blogs as I hear back from them.
Before you know it, this blank space will be the amazing cover for The Broken Highlander. And guys, it's one of my favorites. LFD Designs has outdone herself.
A quick update, on Highland Betrayal, which has taken way too long to finish, after talking with my publisher, I'm aiming to complete it this year. Cross your fingers that life doesn't get in the way. Thanks for sticking with me, and I really hope you all enjoy The Broken Highlander.

Who Are You Reading?
Hi guys! I just finished Margaret Mallory's latest book, the Christmas novella called The Gift. It's really good, and I wanted to share, so I figured we should talk books!
So,here's the cover, and clicking on it will take you to my review over on Got Fiction? Book Blog.
Short review is that This was just what I needed tonight. A Highlander, a sassy Sassenach, and a guaranteed happy ending.
This story follows in her latest Highlander series The Douglas Legacy, but also has a bit of cross-over from her first series The Return of the Highlanders.
So that's what I'm reading. Up next I'll finish Jennifer Ashley's The Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie. What are you reading? Did you get any new books for the Holidays?

RONE Award Honorable Mention for best short story 2013
Highlander Reborn begins in Scotland, many centuries ago, where a blacksmith fights for his life and his people. His life is forever changed when Amalia, one of the Nightkind, makes the choice to save his life. But first, he has to die...
1304…
After Nevin MacLachlan’s wife was killed by a vampire, he made it his mission to hunt them all down. But one late Highland night, in a battle he couldn’t win, one of the Nightkind ripped open his throat. With his blood draining onto the grass, the last thing Nevin sees isn’t a white light; it’s the dark of night closing in on him.
Amalia has been enamored with the blacksmith ever since he first held a stake to her heart. Watching him die was unacceptable. Will he ever forgive her for turning him into what he hates most?
Nevin has lived his life alone for a reason. When Amalia walks back into his life seven centuries later asking for help, he wants nothing more but to turn his back to her. But something about her still calls to him.
Some of the Nightkind in Amalia’s seethe have been killed. It’s up to her to find Nevin and ask for his help. But how can she show Nevin that she isn’t the monster he thinks she is?
